Customer Development Specialist

The Career Overview

EBE is seeking a dedicated software documentation writer to join our growing company. You will collaborate with product owners to develop useful and engaging content and training campaigns to grow our users’ base understanding of our solutions. In addition, you would be responsible for continuous improvements of current implementation and discovery documents. You will not be expected to deliver images with your content.

Responsibilities

Below are some of the responsibilities a technical writer is expected to assume:

  • Create and refine technical information and other various materials for explaining products and services
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards
  • Suggest best practices and optimizations throughout content generation projects
  • Collaborate with fellow technical team members to develop new approaches for creating more precise and engaging knowledge base articles for the company
  • Manage complex information and multiple projects within content specifications and budget restrictions
  • Implement comprehensive technical documentation, feedback, and changes whenever possible

Qualifications and Technical Skill Sets

Below are the qualifications expected of a technical writer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in software documentation
  • Proficiency in word processor programs such as Microsoft Word and Google Docs and PDF software such as Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with systems development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Healthy analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Experience with both print and digital media formats

Working Conditions

  • Some travel may be required no more than twenty percent
  • Fast paced and high-energy
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
  • Overtime may be required
  • Office environment

Compensation

  • Commensurate with experience and skill set

Project Coordinator

Summary

The Project Coordinator position located on-site in East Moline IL, is client-facing and is responsible for a positive experience during the implementation process of EBE’s application software. A positive implementation experience is critical in protecting EBE’s brand.

The Project Coordinator must become familiar with EBE’s implementation configuration tools and methodology. The key to being successful in this position is following established processes and procedures

Job Duties

- Follow EBE’s implementation Agile methodology to ensure timely and accurate installation as dictated by the Requirements Definition

- Engage in discovery activities, including documentation of client’s current state of operations and future state after EBE’s applications are installed and deployed

- Communicate the project definition clearly to the Project Stakeholder to ensure appropriate resources are allocated

- Manage client expectation during the discovery, implementation, testing and go-live phases of the project

- Provide project auditing to manage timeline, changes, and/or all client requests

Requirements

- Being organized and punctual

- A background in IT helpdesk or other systems helpful

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential

- Excellent listening skills

- Interpersonal and situational leadership skills are very important for success

- Self-starter and eager to learn new products or solutions

- Experience with customer relationship management

- Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
